1st Day of School!!

I finally get to post a first day of school post! Cooper started Kindergarten!!  He was so excited!  He loves his school.  It's a really small school with only one class for each grade and one hallway that serves the country kids.  There are 4 in his class of 19 from our ward, the secratary used to be a counselor in the primary, the special ed teacher is in our ward/and neighbor, and the kitchen asst is from our ward and all the older kids from church.  So when he goes it's pretty much like church.  I keep wondering how long it will last with him anxious to go to bed to go to school. He loves to be organized and says "oh I better do this or that done so I can get to bed early for school!" He loves routine and schedule like his dad.  His Teacher is Mrs. Richards. So far things have gone great.  He goes until noon. On Wed the whole school has early release at 1:15pm so the Kindergarten gets to stay until then and have lunch at the school and ride the bus home.  I lucked out with our house being the last stop in the morning and the first stop after school, even though the school is just a mile down the road!! The only bump in the road so far is they have no recess in their schedule right now! 7:45-12 and no break!!  When I asked they said enough parents have complained and the principal is supposed to talk to his teacher about putting that in.  Recess is what motivates kids to go to school!! Oh and just for the record I didn't cry!  Because he is a summer birthday and we didn't put him in until he was 6 I was ready for him to go.  I am excited that he has something more stimulating for him every day!!

Tranell's Open House

Tranell and Mo had their open house a few weekends ago! It was a lot of fun and great to see so much family. It was also fun to get to know Mo's daughter Jasmine. She loved having so many cousins to play with.  With Kristin's help the decorations were beautiful.

Annual Bar D Dinner

I know we took my mom and dad to the Bar D Wranglers in June, but we also go every year with Tyrel's family. My kids were thrilled that they got to go twice this year!! Tranell, Mo, and Jasmine (Mo's Daughter) were here for their wedding open house so we all went. The kids had a blast as always and it was good to get together. Jasmine LOVED the music and of course Trip was enthralled with the whole show, especially the fiddle and Peyton spent most of the night in grandpa's lap.

The Big 29!!

Well I have passed that last birthday in my beloved 20's!! Tyrel had his mom come stay with the kids for the night and we headed off to Ouray, CO. It's about 3 hours from here and is gorgeous!! The hot tubs at the lodge were from the hot springs. We hiked up to two different waterfalls, and enjoyed some yummy food. We had to take a picture of our breakfast, because we each ordered the same breakfast meal and this is how much food came with it!! We could have defiantly shared one! There was 3 pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, and skillet potatoes!! We didn't even come close to finishing it. One bite of each was enough! It was so nice to get away for a day and night. We had a wonderful time and probably the best birthday I have had! So now I am going to enjoy my final year in my 20's, pregnant and a new baby coming!! I know how to party!!

Found It!

For all the 2 people out there that actually read my blog, I found my wedding ring!! There is a little drawer thingy in my closest that was crack opened and when I folded my shorts that my ring must have been in, they fell out of my pocket and landed in that drawer. I happened to walk in my closet, looked down, and there it was in the drawer!! Yeah!!!

Silver Lining!

Well I have discovered a silver lining in losing my wedding ring! Every corner and under every bed and dresser and every shelf and every room in my house is now cleaner than it's been in a long time! My kids have found toys they haven't had in months and I found my spare pair of sunglasses, and found Peyton's hair brush I have been looking for! All those things don't compensate for that fact that I haven't found my ring yet, but I know it has to be here somewhere!! Maybe this will take the place of the nesting period of my pregnancy and I will have it done early!!

Funny Story

So this just happened so I thought I would write it down. Any of those who know me well know I am not a big dessert or sweets fan. I don't mind cooking, but I am not a great baker. I really don't want that stuff in the house where I will end up eating it and I rather have more dinner than save room for dessert. So anyways back to the funny story. Trip just woke from his nap Trip: What did you and Cooper just make? Me: Cookies Trip: Um do we have any carrots? Me: Um no, why? Trip: Because we need them to give them the reindeer for Christmas So apparently my child only associates me making cookies with Christmas time!! I promise I am not that bad at making cookies. We don't do it too often, but I can guarantee I have make them a few times since Christmas.
