Spring Break 2015

This year we spent spring break in Arizona.  After my mom got diagnose with cancer we tried whenever we could to visit my parents when they were Arizona.  My mom was up for spending the 1 day off Tyrel had that week going to Wildlife World Zoo.  Carrie and Jayd also went with us.  It was a hot day but we made it mostly through the whole park!

Easter 2015

Very rarely do we have an Easter in Colorado where they aren't hunting for eggs in the snow.  But we got one this year!

March 2015 AAU

Cooper did his first AAU tournament in 2nd grade.  The only tournament they got in before baseball started was in Ignacio, CO.  Some of his friends he played with were Lincoln Forkner, Tay, Brian Veech, Gabriel Cowley, and Kaiden Wyatt.His coach was Dusty Veech. Also a special surprise when he showed up was he played a couple games against his cousin Chayton!

Snow Storm February 2015

In our house we love snow storms!  Cooper and Trip don't even mind getting out and shoveling.  Of course they all love to be pulled by the four wheeler on their sleds.  Rowdy even had a blast going out as long as he stayed where the snow wasn't too deep.  This snow storm produced a really heavy snow.  The snow was too heavy for one of my favorite lilac trees.  It was completely uprooted.  Peyton loved how the heavy wet snow turned our willow into a snow cave.

Happy 10 years! February 2015

What an amazing 10 years!! Our original plans for our 10th was to go to Mexico with my parents and siblings to celebrate their 50th.  A few weeks before we were supposed to go we strongly felt like we were to stay home.  So since we already had Tyrel's mom coming we got a hotel in Grand Junction, Co and got a way for a couple nights. I am typing this a year and half later so hindsight is 20/20, but on that drive to Grand Junction we drove through a town called Montrose. After that trip I could not get that town out of my mind and from there we prayed and decided when our house was to sell we would move to Montrose.  So it was a blessing in disguise to go to Grand Juntion instead of Mexico. Even though Mexico would have been nice also!!

Peyton turns 5! January 2015

  

My sweet little girl turned 5!  I think her favorite birthday idea for the rest of her life will be to have a girls day.  We headed to Durango with a couple friends where we went to lunch and then did some shopping.  It was a fun day and the girls had a blast! Of course the movie Frozen was huge at the time so of course we had to do a frozen cake!!

Christmas 2014

For Christmas even and day we spent it at home in Cortez Colorado. We started our tradition of participating in the Live Nativity on Christmas eve.  For some reason I can't find any Christmas day pictures, so hopefully that changes.  Then we headed to Arizona for after Christmas and New Years. We had a huge group of family since Lanith and her crew came down for Christmas also.  It was fun to have four siblings together.  The top picture was our Christmas card for the year.

I forgot to add this picture.  When I went into labor with Ryder the boys were planning on going home with our dear friend Valorie Mortensen who was also the secretary of the school.  We got a picture on my phone of their surprise ride home from school with David Mortensen.  They thought it was pretty cool!! Tonsils Feb 2015

Trip was such a trooper getting his tonsils out. He thought everything was pretty cool. He even let them put the IV in while he was awake.  I guess most kids they wait until they are asleep.  His recovery was ok, about 4 or 5 days later he had some rough nights for a week or so, but bounced back after that!

Rowdy turns 2!! Nov 2014

Poor little guys birthday is usually Thanksgiving weekend, so yes he is usually around more family for his birthday, but it's a crazy rush weekend where we happend to squeeze in a cake and sing happy birthday!! Love this little guy! We is such a sweet 2 year old which is saying a lot considering he is 2! But he is shy and the most mellow 2 year old I have had.  He is happy to be doing whatever we are doing. Very go with the flow and loves being dad's shadow.
